Simplified use of Custom Fields in Application Templates
If you often use Custom Fields in application forms, we've made it easier for you. Now, when you add a Custom Field to a template, it's automatically taken off the list of available fields. This way, you won't accidentally use it again in the same template.
After listening to your feedback and to simplify the add a job process, we've made a change so that job closing dates will now become mandatory for all jobs added to your JTGO platform.
Previously, when a job was created, by default the job’s closing date was not mandatory.
Unlock a candidate’s account
Sometimes, candidates can lock their accounts when they attempt too many log in attempts with an incorrect password. As well as candidates being able to reset their password themselves, we’ve also added the option for you to assist them too, if required. We’ve added the ability for you to unlock candidates’ accounts on their behalf should they have difficulty doing it themselves. For more information, please read our guide below.
Improved formatting of candidate application and assessment forms when forwarding details internally
When application forms and assessment forms are sent internally using the Forward Details feature, we’ve made some improvements to the look and feel of the attachments. Both the application forms and assessment forms will be displayed neatly within tables for improved clarity and consistency.
User guide enhancements
Over the next weeks and months, we are starting to add more guidance videos to enhance the support available within our user guides. We’re aware that everyone learns in different ways so we hope these new videos will help make understanding your JTGO platform even easier.
JULY 2023
All of these updates will be live in your JTGO platform from 20th July 2023.
NHS Jobs comes to JTGO
We’re excited to share that we have integrated NHS Jobs into JTGO!
This enables you to post all (or selected) jobs to NHS Jobs, directly from JTGO. When candidates apply, they are simply directed to complete their application in JTGO for you to review along with candidates from any other sources.
There's no charge to activate NHS Jobs, just contact our support team to get started. We’ll just need to ask you a few questions to make sure your NHS Jobs account is set up properly so we can get the ball rolling.
When candidates apply using the ‘copy from a previous application’ feature, to maintain accuracy and better understanding of which advert sources perform better, the candidate’s previous answer to ‘where did you hear about this vacancy’ will no longer copy across. Candidates will need to answer this question each time they use the “copy from previous application” feature.
Where is the ‘where did you hear about this vacancy’ field? This is in the application form and can be found on candidates’ records in Personal Details / About You > Advert Details.
We’ve made a small change to your homepage – the displayed stats will now default as a monthly view, rather than a weekly view.
'Book an Interview' option
To make the interview booking process more intuitive and reduce clicks, we’ve removed the sub-menu from within the ‘Book an Interview’ option in left-hand candidate menu.
All of these June updates will be live in your JTGO platform from 14th June 2023.
Job reference number automatically included in emails
When you're using the compose email feature to communicate to candidates, we've made a change so the email subject - it will now automatically include the Job Reference number. If you'd prefer not to include it, you can simply remove it on a per email basis. We have added this to ensure that any candidates' email replies will map to the correct job/candidate when you're using our email and calendar feature.
Please note:
The job reference will not be included in auto emails if the merge field is not being used in the email template.
Any manually created emails will automatically include the job reference in email subject.
If you have a large volume of questions in the Question Bank, finding a particular one can be a challenge. That's why we've added a search feature for the Questions Bank that searches the content that's added in the Question text field. Allowing you to easily identify any existing questions and prevent duplicate questions being adding.
We have made some changes to the application forms that should help candidates complete applications faster.
Candidates can now copy employment and education entries which will be helpful for those candidates who want to add multiple roles at the same company.
Gaps in Employment Check
A new feature now included as standard in your JTGO platform, the employment gaps feature automatically calculates any gaps in a candidate’s employment history of greater than 30 days and prompts them to enter a reason for the gap.
After adding a Talent Pool, by default within the sharing page the creator will be included as a user. This is designed to help with visibility in case the Talent Pool is made private, as the user who created it is already added and has visibility of it.
We've added more search/filter criteria to your candidate side experience. On the search jobs and list vacancies pages, candidates can now search for your unique location names (if they're included in your locations list), such as Tabley Court if a job was advertised for our Jobtrain head office.
LinkedIn Job Adverts
Our new partnership with LinkedIn gives you the tools to post job adverts directly to your LinkedIn company page - and at no extra cost!
Unlike other solutions where a third party is used and job adverts are only posted as a status update, this new feature goes beyond that. It posts and advertises jobslike any other job posting in LinkedIn, so you know your adverts are front and centre where candidates are job searching.

Sometimes, you might allocate a star ranking to a candidate by mistake and previously the ranking couldn’t be removed.
We’ve now changed that, so it's possible to remove a star ranking! Simply click on the last selected star and it will deselect the ranking.
For example, to reset a candidate’s ranking of 4 stars, you simply click on the 4th star to clear the rating.
